Friends of Otterhampton School

The Friends of Otterhampton School is a group of volunteers who organise social and fundraising events on behalf of the school and its associated community. It is a properly constituted group with elected officials and up to date accounts.  The Friends help to raise money for school trips, playground equipment, books, computers and other items the school needs. The Chair of the Friends is Tamsyn Cross.

The group also organises social functions for both the children and parents/carers. Members enjoy helping the school and are glad of the opportunity to contribute to the school and their children’s education. Details of Friends events are passed through school newsletters.

Recent events have included our ever popular Christmas and Summer Fayres, a Valentine's Disco, the Book Fair,  Easter Egg Hunt and our weekly ice pop sale on a Friday after school.

The main focus of the Friends fundraising this past year was to support the replacement of the old Pirate Ship and Trim Trail, both of which succumbed to time and weather last year. Thanks to fabulous fundraising this has been achieved and  installed by Creative Play during  September 2017.
