Year 1

We follow White Rose Maths in our school. In Year 1 we start our lessons with a 'flashback'. This is a selection of questions from previous units.

In Autumn our units were:

In Spring our units are: 

• Addition and Subtraction (within 20)
• Place Value (within 50)
• Length and Height
• Weight and Volume

In Summer our units will be:

• Multiplication and Division
• Fractions
• Position and Direction
• Place Value (within 100)
• Money
• Time

In our Maths lessons, we use a variety of equipment such as tens frames, part whole models, number lines, numicon, tens and ones, counters, cubes and bead strings.
