Meet the Staff.......

Little Otters is a small local pre-school in Combwich. The Pre-school offers a lovely friendly environment looking out over the Quantock hills. We have a lovely classroom building with a forest school area, garden and large playground. We are very lucky to have such a large outdoor learning area as well as an undercover area that we use in all weather.

Little Otters provides care and education for children aged 2 to 4 years. Children aged 3+ can claim up to 15 hours free childcare the term after their 3rd birthday (some 2 year olds may also be able to claim funded childcare).

Little Otters Pre-School follows the early years foundation stage curriculum covering 3 prime areas Communication and Language, Physical development and Personal, Social and Emotional development. As children grow, the prime areas will help them to develop skills in 4 specific areas Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the world and Expressive arts and design.

We value the importance of play and plan a range of exciting, memorable and stimulating activities for the children to access. Most sessions are devoted to free flow play where the children can access carefully chosen activities and resources to support their learning and development.  As part of our day, we also deliver short adult inputs to further support our children's learning. These include activities such singing and dancing, sharing stories, dough gym, cooking and so much more!

During the sessions children also enjoy a healthy snack and milk or water.

We can be found at Otterhampton Primary School in Combwich. When coming to Cannington, follow the Hinkley Point signs and Combwich is just under 2 miles away.
