Religious Education

Religious Education is taught following the Somerset Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education “Awareness, Mystery and Value”  , which develops knowledge of Christianity whilst raising awareness of other religions.  Through our R.E. lessons and a variety of assemblies we aim to increase children's awareness and understanding of the many different religions and beliefs that shape our world. 

We also aim to help our children develop positive attitudes towards ourselves and others.  Parents/carers can withdraw their children from all or part of the religious education or religious worship.  Any parent/carer wishing to take such course of action should inform the headteacher.  If you have concerns Mrs Luce will be pleased to discuss this subject with you to reach an informed decision.
