Otterhampton School Council
2017 - 2018
Elections for the new School Council team have taken place. Each child standing for election gives a short speech and each member of the class votes for a representative from each of their Year Groups.
I am delighted to announce the results of the Summer Term elections below.

Our school council is made up of elected representatives from each of the year groups in school. The Meetings will commence after October half term and during these meetings we will discuss a wide range of topics that impact our school and local environment, the activities and opportunities at our school and how we can help to develop teaching and learning within each of our classes.
The role of our school council is to represent the members of each class, to disseminate key information, to poll classmates on their ideas and opinions and to feed these back in School Council Meetings to drive change and improvements in our school.
In addition, members of the School Council select a member of their class each week who has best embodied the chosen “Value of the Week”. They present a certificate to the winning recipient in our celebration assembly on a Friday.
